Made to order: delivery in 4~8 weeks

Toyoboshi's baby cashmere provides a luxurious, soothing sensation. This extraordinary softness is the result of careful selection of the finest "raw wool," masterful "yarn spinning," and expert "knitting" craftsmanship.

Raw wool

BABY CASHMERE TOYOBOSHI is crafted from rare, premium raw wool available to only a select few suppliers. With years of experience in sourcing cashmere, TOYOBOSHI has built strong, trusted relationships with local suppliers. As a result, only a European luxury cashmere brand and TOYOBOSHI YARN have exclusive access to this top-quality baby cashmere raw material.

Spinning

With over 90 years of cashmere spinning expertise, we produce the finest yarns using advanced technology and craftsmanship. Although raw wool can vary slightly each year due to its natural origin, we meticulously adjust the blending and spinning processes to ensure consistent, beautifully uniform yarns that meet our rigorous quality standards. Our yarns are also exceptionally durable—after washing, they maintain their shape without fluffing, and with each use, they become even smoother and softer.

Knitting

The unique texture of our cashmere is crafted by skilled artisans who have mastered the art of working with this luxurious fiber. Even when using the same yarn, the texture can vary greatly depending on the knitting technique and the fulling process (the finishing wash). The exquisite feel, which comforts both body and soul, is the result of the expertise, dedication, and passion of the domestic factories we partner with.

Made In Japan

This throw/blanket is a large item and may stretch when machine washed. (Centrifugal force is used to dry the blanket, so there is less friction than wringing it out by hand).

Baby Cashmere TOYOBOSHI®.

Baby Cashmere is a very rare and luxurious fiber that is even finer and lighter than cashmere.
You can feel its high quality by its special softness, smoothness and elegant sheen, which can be recognized as soon as you pick it up.
The baby cashmere processed by TOYOBO YARNING is the first wool collected and conditioned from cashmere goats less than 12 months old. We have an exclusive contract with a leading company with a long history in Inner Mongolia, the cashmere producing region, to supply us with carefully selected raw materials. Only a few companies in the world can purchase this high quality raw wool.

How to wash cashmere

-----------------------

Tips for Washing Cashmere in a Washing Machine

  • Water temperature: Below 30°C
  • Detergent: Neutral
  • Wash mode: Delicate/Dry
  • Laundry mesh bag: Place one item per bag, up to two items in the machine
  • Drying: Flat in the shade (avoid tumble drying)
  • Ironing: Medium heat, steam iron

Water Temperature: Below 30°C While warmer water can help remove dirt more effectively, it can also damage delicate fibers. The ideal temperature for washing cashmere is around 20°C, with a maximum of 30°C. This ensures that the detergent works effectively without harming the fabric.

Neutral Detergent Though alkaline detergents are powerful cleaners, they can be harsh on cashmere fibers. To preserve the color and texture, use a neutral detergent designed for delicate fabrics.

Minimize Friction Cashmere is prone to tangling, pilling, and shrinking due to friction. To prevent this, use a gentle wash cycle like "Delicate" or "Dry." Place each item in a laundry mesh bag and limit the load to two items at a time.

Dry Flat in the Shade Always dry cashmere flat in the shade. Hanging it on a hanger can cause the fabric to stretch and lose its shape due to the weight of the water. Use a flat drying net or spread the garment on a clean surface, ensuring air circulation. Never use a tumble dryer, as it can cause shrinkage.

Ironing Tips If ironing is necessary, use a medium heat setting with steam. Gently move the iron so that it hovers slightly above the fabric. Avoid pressing too hard or holding the iron in one spot for too long.

Avoid Drum-Type Washing Machines Drum-type washing machines generate higher friction, which can damage cashmere. It's best to avoid using them for delicate fabrics like cashmere.
